Sound insulation test

One of the most important functions that your home should perform is to ensure sleep and rest. During the day we want to use our TV sets, music systems, laptops and telephones undisturbed. At night we want to sleep peacefully and not be disturbed by noises outside our home. Soundproof windows and doors can effectively reduce the noise level in your home. Find out more about the different sound insulation classes and hear for yourself the acoustic differences between the classes.

Test the sound insulation

Test the noise reduction of the sound insulation classes that heroal windows (sound insulation classes 1 - 5) and doors (sound insulation classes 1 - 3) can provide. You can use the slider to simulate the different sound insulation classes. Please turn on your speakers – with sound insulation class 0 the noise should be perceived as unpleasant.

Sound insulation classes according to DIN 4109

Sound insulation regulation DIN 4109 defines minimum requirements for sound insulation in building construction. This regulation applies to heroal windows and doors. DIN 4109 defines six sound insulation classes. The sound reduction index, which describes the sound insulation of an installed window or front door, is decisive for classification in a sound insulation class. The respective sound insulation classes are recommendations corresponding to a particular volume of traffic at a particular distance.
