Additional design variant for efficient fabrication

Verl, March 2026. The heroal D 72 PF EM door system stands for efficient production processes and a workshop throughput time reduced by up to 20%. With an established solution portfolio for manufacturing various door casement variants, the system offers fabricators a wide range of options. In addition, heroal is expanding the system with a new version that is fabricated in the same way, featuring a flush exterior in which the surrounding shadow gap is visible.

New design option: externally flush with surrounding shadow gap

In addition to the already established, externally recessed variant, heroal now offers an additional version: an externally flush variant in which the surrounding shadow gap between the door frame and casement is visible On the interior side, customers can continue to choose between a flush and an overlapping variant.

The production of the new design option also relies on the concept of reversible infill door panel attachment with a surrounding clip profile and uses existing components and accessories from the heroal D 72 PF EM portfolio. Only the connection of the infill door panel, which is usually handled by the panel manufacturer, differs. Fabricators can therefore produce the door as usual and decide upon ordering the infill door panel whether the door should be externally recessed or flush. During door installation and adjustment on the construction site, care must be taken to maintain the shadow gap dimensions, as they remain visible in this design option.

Easy Mount for more efficient workshop processes

All infill door panels in the heroal D 72 PF EM system (Easy Mount) – whether flush or recessed – are clipped in place. A surrounding clip profile connects the infill door panel to the casement profile, allowing floating mounting that accommodates profile movements and helps prevent warping. Compared to fully bonded panels with two-component adhesives, this reversible attachment also enables a more efficient and process-secure installation. No additional profile machining is required, and inserting a sealing cord is unnecessary, allowing doors to continue through production without delays.

Warp prevention without additional steps

The thermal break geometry of the casement profile prevents warping without additional production steps. Work on profile assemblies and tension springs is eliminated, simplifying and accelerating fabrication. The thermal break acts as an outer half-shell and as a holder for the reversible retaining strip.

Fixed internal stop for fast fabrication

The door casement profile does not require a glass strip and is designed for panel thicknesses from 48 to 74.5 mm. The fixed internal stop reduces the processing steps for the infill door panel and enables fast production in the workshop.

Optimised sealing and insulation

Corner-welded form corners combine the door seal and fitting rebate insulation, eliminating the need for conventional sealing wedges. This lowers material consumption and streamlines the installation process. Made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), the fitting rebate insulation simplifies fabrication and is fully recyclable.

Clip-in threshold

In addition to the classic screw-mounted solution, a two-part continuous threshold is also available. It combines the advantages of a construction running under the frame with those of an overlaying door bottom seal. Here too, installation is based on a clip principle, supporting efficient system production.
