Architectural colour design only becomes convincing when it follows a plan. With his Architectural Polychromy, consisting of 63 nature-inspired colours from nine colour groups, Le Corbusier created a clearly arranged, but at the same time harmonious colour system. Each colour on its own is eminently architectural and naturally harmonious. Colour underlines the character and the impact of an object. Because every colour group and shade of colour by Le Corbusier represents different effects on the perception of space and strongly reacts to our sensitivities. Thanks to the exclusive partnership with Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier®, heroal offers high-quality Le Corbusier colours from Polychromie Architecturale for windows, doors, façades, lift-and-slide doors, canopies, sun protection and roller shutters.
What’s so special about Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® colours?
Exclusiveness
heroal is a licensed partner of the company Les Couleurs Suisse AG and authorized to coat all products of its range of aluminium systems with Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® - as the only company in the industry.
Positive effect of colour
Each Le Corbusier shade of colour represents specific effects on the perception of space. They modify the room, classify objects and may have physiological effects on us.
Colour harmony
The Architectural Polychromy is based on colours to be found in nature. So, all colours can be harmoniously combined with each other.
Test Le Corbusier colour combinations
Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® provides you with new architectural options for the colour design of heroal systems. Use our colour configurator to test the effect of different colour combinations
Use our heroal colour configurator, and test the variety of colours for windows, doors, sliding doors, curtain walls or canopies and patio roofs. You can zoom in and out, or turn the aluminium surface, and explore true to detail light effects and 3D structures. Via the drop-down menu, you can choose from different colour categories and surface structures.
What is the effect of which colour?
Le Corbusier describes the effect of colours in a very detailed way. Get an overview of the effects of different groups of colours and find out which colour combinations match your project best.
Grey stands for calm and equanimity in equal measure. Lighter shades of grey can create a velvety atmosphere; darker shades can move objects and surfaces into the background.
Light ochre tones evoke Mediterranean associations with sand, beach and sun. Yellow surfaces, on the other hand, stand out and can make rooms appear smaller.
Orange is a colour of energy and represents joie de vivre, optimism or youthfulness. Orange can create a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere as long as it is not too strong.
Umber is a shadow colour. Objects and surfaces in this tone elude the viewer's attention and direct it to other places. Shades of umber can be used to camouflage and hide things not intended to be noticed.
