heroal commercial door systems set themselves apart through their exceptional flexibility in fabrication, reliable and error-tolerant production as well as reduced production costs and short production times. The heroal connection technology with nail-in and press-fit corner angles as well as connector screws and the uniform construction principle across all systems and design depths ensure error-tolerant production with reliable processes. Opening corner angles enable particularly easy alignment of two mitred profiles. To meet security requirements, the RC 3 version of Silatec i2 safety glass is used. Additional safety-related components are integrated into the system, including bolt protection, puncture protection, drill protection plates and a special lock case reinforcement. These elements play a key role in meeting RC 3 criteria and are tested as part of the overall system.
Approval capability
The heroal D 72 door system provides certified solutions for emergency exits and escape routes, with hard-wearing fittings, large production sizes and CE marking in line with EN 14351-1. Emergency exit and panic doors require the coordinated interplay between the frame, casement, fittings and installation situation. heroal uses perfectly fitting profiles, optimised gap sizes (5/11 mm) and certified fittings to permanently eliminate jamming.
Sustainability
heroal door systems are made from recycled aluminium, making them extremely durable while also contributing to a building's energy-efficiency. The modular system design and different insulation options enable the heat insulation values to be easily and flexibly adjusted to the relevant construction project. With Uf values of 1.7 W/m2K, the heroal D 72 door system profiles offer fantastic flexibility when it comes to technical requirements. In combination with appropriate glass and infill panels, Ud values of up to 0.89 W/m2K can be achieved. Besides their energy-efficiency, heroal door systems also impress with their comprehensive sustainability throughout the entire product lifecycle. The use of environmentally-friendly, healthy and reusable materials is confirmed by the Cradle to Cradle Certified® certification. Beyond this, environmental product declarations (EPDs) as well as the optional use of heroal Low Carbon Aluminium support the fulfilment of recognised sustainability standards such as DGNB, LEED and BREEAM.
Comfort
The heroal D 72 commercial door allows the entrance element to be passed unimpeded with the help of the zero threshold solution in line with DIN 18040 - 1 and DIN 18040 - 2. To prevent moisture damage in the interior, the heroal D 72 door system can be combined with the heroal DS drainage system, which diverts any surface water without any backlog. The heroal D 72 RC 3 Panic door system is tested up to resistance class RC 3. Two lock options with tested panic function are available: the FUHR Type 10 and the BKS ADR lock. All versions feature a panic push bar as an operating element for safe and intuitive opening, which is mandatory under DIN EN 1125.
Design
The heroal D 72 door system offers a wide range of design options and maximum design freedom. The highly weather-resistant heroal hwr powder coating creates a perfect harmony of colours with the heroal window, sliding door, roller shutter, curtain wall, sun and roof systems – available in over 500 RAL, DB, VEKA shades with different gloss levels and textures. Metallic-reflective looks can be created with an eloxal coating. The offer is complemented by the heroal SD surface finish with wood, rust or concrete look as well as the exclusive Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® colours. The certification of the heroal D 72 RC 3 panic door also covers door solutions with side sections, transom windows or full-surface panel infills – ideal for demanding design requirements with full security certification. The system offers numerous configuration options, e.g. for the number of door leaves and the choice of threshold system and hinge system. You can choose between barrier-free, continuous thresholds or rebated, screw-fastened variants as well as mounted hinges or roller door hinges. This variety enables flexible adjustment to technical requirements and architectural concepts.
