As a manufacturer of high-quality aluminium system solutions for building shells, heroal has received a German Design Award for 2020. The company was awarded a prize in the “Excellent Product Design” category for its heroal Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier front door.
The German Design Award 2020 jury was won over by heroal's ability to combine contemporary design with a unique colour scheme in its heroal Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier front door. “Not only does the system facilitate individual colouring of all front door components, but also allows free combination of the various different colour shades in the exclusive architectural colour collection”, the jury stated. This is how heroal’s front door won out over a total of over 5,000 submissions as one of the winning products in the “Excellent Product Design” category.
The heroal Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier front door
With its heroal Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier front door, heroal now offers a front door system that combines top-quality materials with maximum functionality and flexibility. The front door’s frame, infill panel, handles and hinges can all be individually designed using the Le Corbusier’s series range of natural and consistently harmonious colours. This makes it possible to use different colours for the inner and exterior parts of the door system. In addition, the system also meets demands for burglary resistance, heat insulation, soundproofing and smart home compatibility.
About the German Design Award
The German Design Award is a premium international prize that the German Design Council has given out annually since 2012. In an elaborate nomination process, experts from various German Design Council committees choose a select range of products and communication design services to participate that they see as clearly standing out from the competition due to the quality of their design. The award winners are selected by a jury made up of design experts from across the fields of business, academia and science, as well as from within the design industry itself. The official German Design Award 2020 presentation will take place on 7 February 2020 in Frankfurt.
