Aluminium system solutions for modern building shells

From 28 September to 1 October 2026, heroal exhibited at Batimat in Paris under the theme ‘spaces for life’, showcasing itself as a partner for modern building shells. At its stand in Hall 4, visitors were able to experience customisable system solutions for residential and commercial construction and find out more about heroal’s comprehensive range of services.

The focus of the trade fair presentation was on systems that combine architectural design freedom, high quality and efficient installation. Numerous discussions with installers, architects and planners from France and other international markets provided an opportunity for face-to-face exchanges on current requirements and solutions for modern construction projects. Batimat thus offered an ideal platform to demonstrate how heroal creates a connection between high-quality system solutions, design diversity and partnership-based support.

Complete solution for heroal plus window systems

In the window sector, heroal presented system solutions that support fabricators in efficient installation whilst meeting the diverse requirements of modern buildings. The solutions on display included, amongst others, the comprehensive heroal plus window accessories system.

New additions to the roller shutter range

Visitors to the stand were also able to discover various new products from the roller shutter range. These included the heroal RS 37 SW roller shutter slat, which rolls up particularly narrowly, a new angled end strip and the new heroal DRP guide rail, which has tightness against driving rain. In combination with a heroal Passive House window, a clear demonstration was given of how functionality, efficiency and system integration can be connected in residential construction.

Another highlight for commercial construction was the heroal C 50 post-transom curtain wall, in combination with the partly integrated heroal VS Z CS façade shading system. The solution on display demonstrated how the curtain wall and sun protection can be seamlessly integrated, thereby creating a high-quality building shell with added functional and aesthetic value.

heroal D 72 RC 3 Panic building door system

With the heroal D 72 RC 3 door system, heroal also unveiled a burglar-resistant solution featuring a panic function. The single-leaf version is specifically designed to meet the requirements of security-critical areas in commercial building projects.

Experience efficiency and economy first-hand

At Batimat, heroal demonstrated just how efficient modern window manufacturing can be through regular live demonstrations of the heroal WF i EM hardware system. This window hardware system provides a connection between high functionality and a high degree of pre-assembly, with a wide range of design options, slim face widths and burglary resistance up to RC 3. The demonstrations allowed visitors to experience the benefits for installers first-hand at the stand.

Virtually unlimited design variety

The wide range of surface design options also played a central role at the heroal stand. Through a selection of surface samples, including the exclusive colours from Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier®, visitors were able to gain a first-hand impression of the design versatility of heroal’s aluminium systems. In this way, heroal demonstrated how technical performance and architectural individuality can be combined.

A family-run business for more than 150 years

Johann Henkenjohann was the third generation to run the wooden shoe shop, founded in 1874, during the period of town construction after the end of the Second World War. He recognised the demand for flexible blackout solutions that were virtually invisible from the outside and took up little space, and so turned his attention to the production of roller shutters in 1950.

The invention of the first foam-filled aluminium roller shutter slat in 1969 revolutionised the roller shutter market. The name ‘heroal’ (Henkenjohann roll-forms aluminium) was coined as part of this new production process. The birth of heroal. From then on, heroal developed into a technology leader in aluminium processing in the fields of roller shutters, sun protection and roller doors, as well as windows, doors and curtain walls.
