New additions to the roller shutter range

heroal is showcasing new products from its roller shutter range, including the heroal RS 37 SW roller shutter slat with its particularly slim winding profile, a new angled end profile and the new heroal DRP guide rail, which has tightness against driving rain. These system enhancements will be presented at the exhibition stand in combination with a heroal Passive House window, illustrating how functionality, efficiency and system integration can be combined in residential construction

A family-run business for more than 150 years

Johann Henkenjohann was the third generation to run the wooden shoe shop, founded in 1874, when the destroyed cities were being constructed after the end of the Second World War. He recognised the demand for flexible blackout solutions that were virtually invisible from the outside and took up little space, and so turned his attention to the production of roller shutters in 1950.

The invention of the first foam-filled aluminium roller shutter slat in 1969 revolutionised the roller shutter market. The name ‘heroal’ (Henkenjohann roll-forms aluminium) was coined as part of this new production process. The birth of heroal. From then on, heroal developed into a technology leader in aluminium processing in the fields of roller shutters, sun protection and roller doors, as well as windows, doors and curtain walls.
