Maximum flexibility

heroal offers external sun protection for a wide range of installation situations – from windows and façades to challenging corner solutions. Large formats up to 18 m², effective UV protection and integration into existing façade systems enable functional, easy-to-install solutions for individual project requirements.

Over 250 fabric variants and colour-matched aluminium components in RAL colours, designer finishes or Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® enable harmonious coordination of sun protection and building envelope. Different blind boxes, discreet guide rails and flexibly combinable end slats ensure maximum design freedom and precise integration.

Versatile sun protection

The comprehensive portfolio of external sun protection systems includes textile zip screens, screens with end slats or rope guides, and external blinds – for effective sun, heat and privacy protection for a wide range of architectural and technical requirements on windows, façades and all-glass corners.

Sun protection for corner areas

The heroal VS Z corner solution offers effective sun protection for all-glass corners – with two separately controllable screens and zip guides on the outside, as well as a shared stainless steel cable guide in the corner area. The solution can be installed flexibly and ensures high functionality in architecturally demanding applications.

Integration into curtain wall

For effective shading of façades, both the external textile sun protection system heroal VS Z CS and the external venetian blind system heroal VB Free can be seamlessly integrated into the heroal C 50 façade system as a partially integrated or front-mounted solution – retrofitting is also possible if required.

Effective protection from the sun and UV radiation

Depending on the selected textile and sun protection system, it is possible to reduce sun and UV radiation by up to 100 %.

Large elements

Elements up to 5 m high, 6 m wide and with a maximum area of 18 m² can also be realised with a small box. Even with extreme dimensions, various end strips made of extruded aluminium ensure optimum and consistent fabric tensioning.

Wide range of textiles

heroal offers a high-quality and diverse selection of fabrics to ensure a pleasant indoor climate and meet a wide range of needs and requirements: there are over 250 fabrics to choose from, varying in colour and degree of light transmission – from semi-transparent to opaque.

Flexible installation solutions

heroal offers two extruded blind box systems for its sun protection systems. The heroal FME front-mounted box system is mounted on the masonry or in the reveal and is available in various designs with 20°, 45° or 90° angles or as a semi-circular version – for flexible installation solutions and a high-quality appearance.

Unobtrusive guide rail

heroal offers a wide selection of precisely fitting guide rails for every installation situation. The sturdy, extruded aluminium rails ensure smooth running and secure guidance of the fabric. Narrow visible widths from 25 mm allow for discreet integration. Alternatively, the guide rail can be completely plastered over.

Great ease of use

The heroal VS Z sun protection system can be operated with motors from various manufacturers. The independent product selection allows for flexible planning and easy installation. Integration into smart home systems is possible without any problems. Solar drives from heroal and Somfy are also available as an addition – for a wireless, energy-efficient solution without any external power supply.

End slats for perfect fabric tension

For optimum fabric tension, heroal offers three types of end slats made from extruded aluminium. Depending on the size of the element, type I, II or III is used – type III is particularly suitable for narrow or wide systems thanks to additional weighting elements. Types II and III have identical visible heights, enabling flexible, uniform integration.

Colour uniformity

The aluminium components are coated with the highly weather-resistant heroal hwr powder coating in RAL colours, heroal SD surface designs or Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® for unique design variety and colour consistency with the heroal system portfolio.

Easy installation for every situation

heroal sun protection systems can be installed flexibly – on the wall, in the window, in the reveal, in the lintel or in front of the façade. The simple system design, tool-free dismantling aids and compact winding diameters enable quick installation, easy maintenance and use even in confined spaces.

Simple clamp mounting

The heroal VS Z EM sun protection system can be installed without drilling and removed without leaving any residue – ideal for retrofitting, rental properties or listed buildings. The integrated solar drive eliminates the need for an external power supply. Various clamp holders allow flexible use on almost all common window types.

As system items, kit or finished elements

Depending on requirements and fabrication capacities, heroal sun protection can be ordered as items sold by length, kit, textile installation groups or finished elements (heroal Ready).

Standard parts for panels

Thanks to the utilisation of standard parts, all panel designs have almost the same measurements, significantly reducing inventory cost. In addition, continuous panels for coupled elements reduce the number of required parts.

Ready to install for maximum flexibility

The heroal VS Z textile assembly is designed as a pre-assembled system solution for maximum efficiency. It includes a custom-made fabric, a cut-to-size fabric roller, an integrated motor of your choice, a pre-assembled type III end bar and all necessary accessories. The ready-to-install delivery enables quick, trade-independent plug-and-play installation in existing boxes.

Integration into PVC add-on boxes

The heroal VS Z textile assembly enables the integration of textile sun protection into PVC add-on box systems from Exte and Veka for the first time. Suitable mounting brackets allow for easy installation in the Exte Exakt, Expert, Elite and Neo add-on boxes, VEKAVARIANT 2.0 and the VEKAVARIANT EPS add-on insulation box.

Zip Screen System

System products can be ordered for the entire heroal product portfolio. The profiles are supplied in lengths and all processing is carried out by the fabricator.

The heroal kit includes precisely cut and machined panels, guide rails, end strips and matching cover caps in the selected system color. Supplemented by the textile assembly, the kit also contains the made-to-measure textile assembly and the corresponding guide rail insert, also cut to size.

Sun protection finished elements heroal Ready

The heroal Ready prefabricated elements for roller shutters, sun shading and roller doors offer the highest degree of prefabrication. Specialist partners receive the products completely pre-assembled, allowing them to focus on sales and installation at the end customer. Partners benefit from maximum flexibility and efficiency, especially in times of high order volumes.
