Textile Sun Protection Systems Enhanced

Additional Value Through Improved Design, Function and Mounting - Since 2015, the textile sun protection heroal VS Z is a top-ranking solution among sun protection systems installed outside. Having added the systems heroal VS and heroal VS C to their range of products, heroal now further improves their system solutions in terms of design, function and mounting, in order to enlarge the fields of application and meet the continuously increasing demands of fabricators, architects and builders.

There is an increasing demand for shading elements for large glass surfaces especially in the project business, which noticeably optimise the room climate inside the building. Whereas in the past textile sun protection systems by heroal were able to create surfaces of up to 15 square metres with a width of 5 metres, is has now become possible to create even larger surfaces: with immediate effect, heroal VS Z is available with an element width of up to six metres. This way, it is possible to use textile screens for shading even larger surfaces; of up to 18 square metres (with a width of 6 metres and a height of 3 metres). Thanks to a new shaft with a diameter of 100 millimetres, this screen size can also be combined with a small panel box size of 125 millimetres.

Another special highlight of the system heroal VS Z is the new guide rail, setting new standards in the market with a face width of only 25 millimetres. This guide rail has a concealed screw connection and can be fixed to the wall, in the reveal, or on the window. The fixing itself does not require as much time as before. The guide rail can be clipped on to the wall mounting profile, which also makes it easier to adjust the mounting profile to the structure of the building. Thanks to a flat inside cover, it has also become possible to plaster the guide rail so that it is fully concealed. The 25-millimetre-system is rounded off by a new, very robust panel cap system with steel motor bearings and aluminium decorative caps.

For even more freedom of design, the range of fabrics and colours available for textile screens has been enlarged for the systems heroal VS Z, heroal VS C (with stainless steel rope guidance) and heroal VS (screens guided via end strips). In order to offer even more options for room darkening or total blackout, the four new textiles Sergé 3 %, Sergé 600 Blockout Lunar, Sergé 600 Blockout Solar and Soltis 86 14 % are available with immediate effect, in addition to the existing textiles. Depending on the textile, up to 100 % of sun radiation and UV-radiation can be blocked out.

A new end strip has been designed in order to prevent textiles of any special size from wrinkling, e.g. especially wide, narrow or high elements. Different options to weight the textiles with one or two weighting bars as well as an additional optional stabilisation by means of a rectangular tube provide for a perfect tensioning of the textile screen. Since the new end strip has the same face height as the end strip of the existing range, it is possible to combine the new end strip with the existing type-II-end strip. It has become easy to dismount the textile element, if necessary, thanks to an optimised roller capsule design. For this purpose, the new dismounting ring is simply pulled over the catch nose and the roller capsule unlatched.

Some new options have also been designed for combinations of doors and windows. It is now possible to separate element combinations with different element heights while at the same time keeping one full-length panel box.

For a uniform, full-surface view of the panel boxes, an additional new panel has been designed for contra installation, available in sizes 105 and 125 millimetres. This panel does not require any additional groove for wall or ceiling mountings.

If an inspection from below is required, the box system heroal FMB in size 105 millimetres will be available. It represents a space-saving alternative to the existing FMB 125 millimetres box size.
